My name is Brittany, professionally known as Bee Michelle & Ashima Divine, I’ve been singing since I was four years old, performing in churches throughout Chicago. Music has always been a part of who I am. As I got older, I chased my dream by auditioning for shows like American Idol and The Voice, but after facing rejection, I began to doubt myself. At 18, I stopped singing altogether because I no longer believed I was good enough.

For years, I put my dream on hold. After experiencing my first miscarriage, I fell into a deep depression. During one of the darkest seasons of my life, something in my spirit told me to write. That moment changed everything. I wrote my first song, “Hennessy and Whiskey,” which has since been released and has received more than 100,000 views. Songwriting became my therapy and my path back to myself.

A year after my final miscarriage, I was blessed with my rainbow twins, Magic and My’racle. Becoming their mother gave me a renewed sense of purpose. After leaving an unhealthy relationship, I returned to Chicago determined to rebuild my life. As a working single mother, I enrolled in Illinois Media School to sharpen my skills in broadcasting and media while continuing to pursue my passion for music. I proudly graduated last year. I’ve also been on tour and stared a play called “underneath the hat”.

Soon after graduation, I was diagnosed with lupus. Once again, life presented me with an unexpected challenge. But instead of giving up, I chose to keep creating. Music continues to heal me, strengthen me, and remind me that my purpose is greater than my pain.

My upcoming album, Vibrating High, reflects that journey. It is about choosing joy over fear, faith over doubt, and hope over hardship. Through my music, I want others to know that no matter what they face, they can rise above their circumstances, reclaim their voice, and choose to vibrate higher every single day.
